ENKA is Building Highway of Nation
Following the completion of 60 km motorway in Albania between Rreshen and Kalimash, ENKA signed the contract to build first highway of Kosova between Morine to Prishtina North that is called “Highway of Nation” between Albanians.

Motorway is beginning from Morine in the Albania border then going through Prizren, Suhareke, Duhel, Malisheve, Arlatte, Komorane, Sllatina and reaching Prishtina. It is curving around Prishtina and ending in Besi small town on the north of Prishtina.

ENKA is building 89 km of this route that total length is 103 km. Motorway will be 28 meters wide which will be 2 circular strips of 3.75 meters with an emergency lane of 2.5 meters and the green belt in median width between 3 – 4 meters.

Project is including 22 bridges, 61 underpass / overpasses and 9 interchanges construction. Project team will execute 20 million cubic meters excavation, 13 million cubic meters embankment fill, 200,000 meters drainage pipe installation, 265,000 cubic meters concrete and over 1 million tones asphalt works in 42 months. Motorway opening to traffic is planned on September 2013.

Motorway will be the biggest investment and infrastructure project ever done in Kosovo. The motorway project Morine – Prizren – Prishtina, helps New Europeans that will be created by the new possibilities of free movement, and integrates powerful country in the region of Kosovo.

Realization of this project will create an environment for investment and implementation of capital projects in the country.

The benefits of motorway will be the Republic of Kosovo, create modern infrastructure to the highest European standards and the world, accelerating economic development of country, will create thousands of jobs, companies and local experts and will have the benefit of development and new opportunities. Kosovo will have very easy access to international markets, but also to international markets in the Republic of Kosovo will also facilitate the movement of people and goods.

Moreover this motorway will connect Kosovo to Albania, Albania to Kosovo. After motorway completion, Kosovo will be much closer than ever.
